At what stages of the production cycle can flame heat treatment be used on heat-resistant vegetables such as leeks, garlic and onions?
In winter – spring: with pre-emergence treatment of the product
If necessary, action is taken to eliminate weeds just before the plant emerges.
This treatment also eliminates all fungi and seeds present on the soil surface.

In spring-summer: during plant growth, therefore with post-emergence treatment
We intervene to carry out weeding operations along the crop rows.
This treatment reduces or eliminates the presence of insects on the plants.
While the heat treatment is applied to the rows, inter-row weeding can also be performed to ensure that the entire surface is fully cleared of weeds.
Typically, for these types of vegetables, treatments need to be repeated at least 2–3 times a year.
