PRE-EMERGENCE WEED
CONTROL IN CULTIVATION
This technique is used in cold periods when seed germination is very slow.
The operations to be performed are as follows:
1. Soil Preparation: cit should be soft, light and well levelled in the sowing area; where possible, it should be rolled.
2. Sowing: it should be done with a precision seed drill to be sure that the seed is covered by the soil. Wait at least 7-10 days before sowing to allow for initial weed development.
3. Check he sowing area to monitor the germination process. Heat treatment with a flame must be carried out when the seed of our product is about to germinate (product pre-emergence).
It is important to carry out the treatment before our product is visible on the soil surface.
The effectiveness of pre-emergence flame treatment will result in the elimination of all surface seeds, the disappearance of weeds that have already sprouted and the elimination of any fungal spores on the soil surface.
Unfortunately, weed seeds that have not yet germinated or are hidden in the soil will not be damaged and can germinate later.
The better the soil is refined, the greater the effect obtained.
In this case the machine must be used without the rear roller.
